Chevy Silverado 1500 pickups are great all around trucks. The 2009 models offer great styling, power, and comfort. The ride is very smooth, the interior is nice, and pricing isn’t bad, as new models start out at just over $19,000. The 2009 4 speed, 2 wheel drive, 8 cylinder 5.3 liter engine models average 14 miles per gallon in the city, and 20 miles per gallon on the highway, which is excellent for a truck with this much power. Fuel economy is slightly better on the Silverado 1500 Hybrid models, but the price tag is much higher, and the difference in fuel economy isn’t very significant.
